Health Awareness:

There are a lot of new stresses out in our environment and we need to STAY HEALTHY!

Eating right and exercising will promote a better lifestyle.  A lot of members are taking advantage of the new 1 hour lunch break and are taking part in a number of activities such as: Running, Sprinting, Walking, Swimming, Lifting Weights, Surfing and Yoga.

Write to us and tell us what you do on your break.

Core News:

-5 former Service Technicians who were recently job assigned as U-Verse Technicians and forced to move to Simi Valley; were moved closer to Laguna Niguel.  President Art Gonzalez and the rest of the bargaining team worked very hard with the company to move the technicians back.

-St to MST upgrade is still on hold until the surplus is satisfied.  We still have one technician out on disability and will be back soon.

Mobility News:

-The company is finally listening!  The CFT (Customer Feedback Tool) was causing so much distress that it was spilling over to the management. The CFT's were being used as a tool to place blame on our members for issues that they could not control.

Management, for the past two months, were pushing every negative CFT score to a discipline meeting.  After conversations with the District manager, Area Manager and HR they finally are understanding the hostile working conditions they were creating.

Our Mobility Union Stewards did a great job at getting the word out on how to document every transaction, with every customer, and also get the manager involved in every transaction

with a customer.  There is now a new process if management wants to write up any one of our members.  Great Job Mobility in sticking together!

If you don’t know who the Mobility Stewards are:

Brandon Beck out of the San Marcos Store

Christine Shade out of the Fire Mountain Oceanside Store

Stewart Kronenberg out of the Enicinitas Store

Fathom Maddy out of the Del Mar Store

And we Welcome our newest steward to the family

Kelly Green out of the Vista Store.

Kller Bees in Southern California- Don't Provoke hem! Print E-mail
Recently, two of our MST's were attacked while working that left one in the hospital.  If you see a bee hive STAY BACK!  If you are not able to complete a job because there are signs of bees.  Contact your manager and inform the customer that until those bees are removed you will not continue the job.  Leave the customer your managers phone number and go to your next job.  We need to be careful when dealing with the bees, going home to your family is a lot more important then completing a job.
